This weekend I went to Paris! It was about a 6 hour bus ride from Aachen. When we arrived, we took a tour by bus of the city. I was sitting in the front row of a double decker bus so I had a great view of Paris as I rode through it. After the tour and checking into the hotel, we had free time to explore the city on our own. I went to Notre Dame, the love bridge, ate tasty food at a French restaurant, walked along La Seine, saw the Louvre, and saw the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. On Saturday night, we stayed in an Ibis Budget hotel a few metro stops east of Notre Dame. On Sunday afternoon, we had a few more hours to explore. We went to the Arc de Triomphe, climbed to the top of the Sacré-Cœur, and ate crepes. Paris was my favorite excursion this month. There was just so much to see in the city. The food was delicious and the structures were all so impressive.

Giancarlo, Michelle, and me
To symbolize that our love is unbreakable, I fastened my lock on the love bridge and threw the keys into the river.
These street musicians were singing “What a Wonderful World” and “Stand By Me” in a thick French accent.

Notre Dame across La Seine
This is another love bridge. You can also see where La Seine splits into two around the island.
In front of the Louvre we tried about 6 or 7 times to get a good jumping photo, but this is the best we could get lol.
It was so surreal to see the Eiffel Tower for the first time in person. I was speechless.
